Alex and Ace:

The Adventure of the Purple Pendant

Camping in the mountains takes on a swirl of unexpected mystery when Alex and Ace discover an old pendant buried in the muck of a stream. They find themselves with a big task ahead of them. Somehow they must reunite the pendant with its owner and the window of time to do so is closing quickly. Magic is on the line, and the kids do not want to see good magic disappear forever. Their animal guides, Corvus Merle Raven and Ginger Cinnamon Tenderfoot warn them they must protect the pendant from Rusty Stoneheart, who can use it for No-Good. They travel back in time and meet new friends. Alex and Ace know they must be brave and work as a team in a land where animals talk, and adventure awaits.

WHY SUSAN WROTE THE SERIES

Susan knows the importance of helping children realize that they are powerful, creative, and able to make a difference in the lives of others. Her hope is that by reading a fun adventure where the kids are the hero’s and connected to a magical environment, it will foster a sense of empowerment and normalize the child’s own innate creativity and value to the world.

The Alex and Ace series has been described by readers as fun, chock full of inspiring messages, twists of suspense and plenty of thrills for both boys and girls 8-12.

The author wrote this book in such a way that you could visualize everything that was going on. I decided to read one chapter a day, that way I could think about it and visualize it much better, so it made it more intriguing every chapter I read. The more involved I got in the story, loved all the characters. Love the moral of the story about always pitching together with each other and helping. I believe the story is good for all ages.

What a well written book! I bought it as a gift. But out of curiosity, read it myself too. Your Kids or Grandkids will love it!! Lots of good old fun and adventure. And the ending was great too! I can picture this becoming a popular series.

It seems to be written in a thoughtful, loving way. Lots of healthy life lessons in trust and teamwork. Can’t wait for the next one.
